The connector has a configuration of 15 poles, and is designed to supply +3.3V, +5V and +12V used in the S-ATA (Serial ATA) standard.
This connector can be used with high speed communication devices such as an S-ATA standard HDD in place of conventional peripheral devices.
As one of the features for the S-ATA standard devices, it is possible for the user to perform hot swapping.
