Function name:TSFCFAN |
This function rotates the fan at a low speed when a power supply internal temperature increase is detected during standby (during remote OFF). Generally, most power supplies shut off the fan during standby. However, immediately after a PC is shut down, or when the power consumption increases during standby due to factors such as USB device or CD-ROM drive operation, the power supply increases the temperature in the vicinity of the +5VSB circuit. This can shorten the service life of the +5VSB circuit area, and in extreme cases can cause a breakdown. The TSFC FAN function rotates the fan at a low speed when a power supply internal temperature increase is detected during standby (during remote OFF), and so reduces the amount of heat generated in the +5VSB circuit. This function achieves an improvement in reliability during standby. |
