CCC
Function name:CCC
In the People's Republic of China, the China Export/Import Product Inspection Agency enforced the CCIB Certification (Product Safety Certifying) System on imported electric and electronic devices in 1993 under the control of the SAIQ (National Border Departure/Entry Inspection and Quarantine Agency).

Further, in 1994, the CCEE (China Electric Products Adaptability Certification Committee) enforced the CCEE Certification (Product Safety Certifying) System on electric and electronic products sold in China under the control of the CSBTS (Chinese National Technical Quality Supervisory Agency).

Hence, two safety control administrative systems were enforced on electric and electronic products in a sovereign country and, furthermore, there was a contradiction in that it was imperative that some products acquire both of the CCIB certification and the CCEE certification.

Due to the above circumstances, the People's Republic of China officially joined the WTO (World Trade Organization) in November 2001.
Hence, based on the regulations of the WTO, the People's Republic of China announced establishment of the novel and compulsory Product Safety Certifying System (CCC) upon integration of the two aforementioned product safety certifying systems.
The Chinese Government has continued to enforce the CCC System since August 1, 2003.

Accordingly, in order to market electrical products designated for acquisition of the Chinese compulsory certification in the People”Ēs Republic of China, it is imperative that the corresponding products be subject to certification of the Chinese Certifying Organ and bear the CCC mark thenceforth.
